    Tanner

    Hey everyone,

Let me introduce myself and my vision. My name is Tanner, and I am currently a 3rd year Technology Education teacher. I've taught two years at the High School level and then switched school districts and am currently teaching Middle School. I graduated from The College of New Jersey (class of 2013) and immediately began teaching Tech/Engineering, which brings me to my vision.

Education is rapidly changing. Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math are quickly becoming the emerging fields for potential jobs. Unfortunately, there is vacancy in the Tech and Engineering teacher pool... However, the beauty of STEM is that all teachers can apply these concepts in their classroom. This brings us to STEM etc.

What is it, and what does it offer?

STEM etc. is a project that I am undertaking to bring creative hands on  lessons/activities/projects/whatever you want to call it, to anyone who wants to learn (teachers/students alike). My goal is to create a community of genuine learners and teachers. The plan is to create one video per week documenting all of the basics needed to complete an activity, and provide resources for teachers to use/modify should they choose to do so.

What can you do to help me?

Right now I'm starting to develop simple project ideas, but spreading the word, or suggesting projects and/or providing constructive criticism would help out a lot.

Thanks for checking this out. Have a good one.

    -T
